Obituary of Linda Sue Whitney
Linda Sue Whitney, age 70, of Villa Hills, KY passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 22, 2019 at her home. Linda was born the daughter of the late Ira Lee and Wanetta Eunice (Needles) Curp in Chillicothe, Missouri.
Linda was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Linda was a dear friend, she developed many friendships across the United States over the years due to the many residences Bruce and Linda had. Linda worked as a self-employed transcriptionist and was very active in various ministries at all the churches she attended, serving for the last 22 years at Erlanger Baptist. Linda was also an avid tennis player.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Donald Lee Curp; nephew, Brad Curp; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Beverly Curp; and brothers-in-law, Jimmy Jo Hicks and Bill Gastineau.
Linda is survived by her husband of 49 years, Bruce Whitney; four children, Teresa (Brian) Harrington, Jennifer (Courts) Jetton, Christina Preston, and Brian Whitney; nine grandchildren, Michael Harrington, Ashley Harrington, Mackenzie Harrington, Whitney Jetton, Grant Jetton, Faith Jetton, Luke Jetton, Jaidon Preston, and Josephina “Josie” Preston; five siblings, Mary Jo Gastineau, Shirley Hicks, Bob (Brenda) Curp, Jerry (Wanda) Curp, and Jimmy (Barb) Curp.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Erlanger Baptist Church, 116 Commonwealth Ave, Erlanger, KY 41018 from 9:00AM until time of service at 12:00 Noon. Immediately following the service a luncheon will be held at the church for all in attendence.
Visitation will also be held on Friday, May 31, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Chillicothe, Missouri from 9:00AM until the time of service at 12:00 Noon. Burial will take place at Cowgill Cemetery in Cowgill, Missouri.
