Obituary of Jimmie Turner

     Jimmie Turner, age 83, of Taylor Mill, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Edgewood.

     Jimmie was born the son of the late Davey and Eliza (Raleigh) Turner on March 7, 1936 in Talbert, KY. Jimmie was an awesome man who always had a smile on his face. He was a union strong TANK bus driver, who loved fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family especially his grandkids.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James Turner and several siblings.

     Jimmie is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Alice Turner; two children, Sandy (Dan Charlton) Connley and Gerald (Amy) Turner; a daughter-in-law, Terri Turner; eight grandchildren, Bradley (Hannah), Sarah (Travis), Shaun (Meagan), Ryan (fiancé Jessie), Prudence (Bret), Chloe (Cody), Caitlin, and Noah; six great grandchildren, Hunter, Shelby, Guinevere, Paige, Christian and Coralynn; and three siblings, Lottie Jane Stidham, Green and Alex Turner.

     Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence KY 41051 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 14, 2019 at the funeral home at 11:00AM. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
