Obituary of Brent Joseph Meier

     Brent Joseph Meier, of Independence, KY passed away with his loving wife by his side after a courageous 5-year battle with cancer on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at the vibrant age of 42.

     He was born in Covington, KY on January 18, 1977; the son of Lawrence Joseph and Teri Meier. Brent worked as a sheet metal fabricator for Jacobs Mechanical, Inc. and was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church. He enjoyed looking at import cars and being in the great outdoors. Brent had a passion for guns and shooting, as well as spending time at his koi pond at his home. His greatest joy, however, came from spending time with his beautiful family, especially his children.

     Brent was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence.

     He is survived by his devoted and caring wife of 17 years, Rebecca “Becky” Meier; children, Madeline “Maddy” Meier, Andrew “Andy” Meier and Gabrielle “Gabby” Meier; sister, Kelli (Robert “Bobby”) Stull; mother, Teri Meier; four legged friends, his dogs, Archie and Edith and a cat, Tom; as well as many other relatives and friends who will mourn his loss and cherish his memory.

     A Gathering of Friends will take place from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church, 11969 Taylor Mill Road, Independence, KY 41051. A Memorial Service will immediately follow at 12:00 PM at the church. Brother Bill Clark will officiate.
