Obituary of Geneva Wade

     Geneva Wade, age 90, of Taylor Mill, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 4, 2019 at Boonespring in Union, KY.

     Geneva was born the daughter of the late Joseph and Maudie (Sizemore) Smith on June 24, 1929 in Clay County, KY. She attended church at both Hickory Baptist Church and at Oak Ridge Baptist Church. Geneva retired after 19 years from GAP Distribution Center. She loved to square dance, ceramics, sewing, gardening, and taught everyone in the family how to crochet. Geneva played piano and guitar, but loved all kinds of music. However, her greatest joy was spending time with her kids and grandchildren.

     She was preceded in death by her husbands, Eugene Wade and Jason Hatton; son, William L Wade; grandson, Mitchael Wade II; and great-great granddaughter, Braelynn.

     She is survived by three children, Mitchael (Diane) Wade, Lance (Lori) Wade, and Lora (Ronald) Crouch; seven grandchildren, Michael, Bronson (Beth), Janson, DJ (Autumn), Justin (Jeanette), Robert (Saberina), and William (Tiffany); fifteen great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild on the way.

     Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051 from 2:00PM until 4:00PM with the funeral service immediately following at 4:00PM. Burial will take place on Monday, July 8, 2019 at 12:00 noon at Union Baptist Cemetery in Russell County, KY.
