Obituary of Paul Edward Wiley

     Paul Edward Wiley, of Georgetown, KY passed away into the loving arms of the Lord at Signature Healthcare in Georgetown on Monday, July 8, 2019 at the age of 89.

     He was born in Grant County, KY on May 10, 1930; the son of the late Robert Lester and Letha Wiley. Paul was a proud veteran having served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was also a lifetime member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church. In his spare time, Paul enjoyed watching sports, particularly the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals. He also enjoyed working on automobiles, doing things with his hands and loved animals. His greatest joy, however, was spending time with his beloved family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

     Paul was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife, Beverly Hutchins Wiley; son-in-law, Rev. Wayne Lipscomb; sister, Gladys Irene Wiley; brothers, Robert Lee Wiley and Ollie Leo Wiley and a great-grandchild, Teagan Wiley.

     He is survived by his caring children, Vernon Lester Wiley and Paula Annette Wiley Lipscomb; beloved sister, Mae Wiley; loving grandchildren, Paul Lipscomb, Ashlee McCullough, Shelby Wiley and Katelyn Wiley; great-grandchildren, Averee McCullough, Scarlett Lipscomb, William McCullough, Theo Lipscomb and Ainslee McCullough; as well as many other close relatives and friends who will mourn his passing and continue to cherish his memory.

     A visitation for Paul will be held on Friday, July 12, 2019 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. A funeral service will take place following the visitation at 12:00 PM. Paul’s grandson, Paul Lipscomb, will officiate the service. Burial in procession with full military honors will take place following the funeral service at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
