Obituary of Bruce David Behrle

     Bruce David Behrle, at the age of 72, passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY on Sunday, September 15, 2019. He was born in Cincinnati, OH on March 14, 1947; the son of the late David and Jane (nee Umberger) Behrle.

     Bruce worked for Wiedemann Brewery and was a veteran of the United States Army. Bruce had a loveable personality and he enjoyed drinking beer and shooting. Bruce also took pride in owning race horses, often racing them at Turfway Park and River Downs.

     He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Bruce Jr. and a daughter, Tracy. Bruce is survived by his loving sister, Phyllis Shields; son, Patrick Behrle; two grandchildren; as well as other relatives and friends who will mourn his sudden passing and cherish the memories he shared with them.

     A Gathering of Friends will take place to honor Bruce’s life on Friday, September 20, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051.
