Saddened at the passing of Mrs. VanHorn. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. Although we did not have much contact with her, it was a privilege for us to know her, particularly through Bob and our daughter Susan Armstrong. The heavens are rejoicing with her arrival at the pearly gate.
Sue was an amazing woman. She was my favorite Aunt. I remember when Mom (Dixie) worked the 2nd shift at the nursing home from 12:00-8:00 and Mom would drop me off at Sue and Warren's. They always welcomed me with open arms. I remember the hot fudge sauce she would put on ice cream. She would have me cook the steaks in the broiler because she always said she couldn't do it right for Warren. FeeFee the dog would always protect her viciously. Even if we just played at hitting Sue. Many, many games of Scrabble. Her always hanging Warren's clothes on the light in the living room. Milking cows at O-Dark thirty in the morning and 5:00 to 5:30 EVERY night. Helping her milk cows if Warren was busy doing other things on the farm. They would let me go get the cows on the tractor. I thought I was big stuff. She would always feed all her barn cats. I would tag along sometimes with the fresh milk and cat food. And her many Star and Enquirer magazines. SHE was a hard working woman and a lovely lady. I WILL ALWAYS LOVE HER....
