Obituary of Earl E. Eastwood, Jr.
Earl E. Eastwood, Jr. of Piner, KY passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence, KY at the age of 77. He was born in Charleston, WV on January 25, 1942. Earl earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Cincinnati and had worked and retired as a Property and Security Manager for the Environmental Protection Agency. He was a member of Piner Baptist Church for 24 years where he often taught Sunday School. Earl also was a Boy Scout leader, a member of the Northern Kentucky Cattleman’s Association, served as a little league baseball coach and was a University of Kentucky basketball fan. He had a great love for animals and his greatest passion came from being a hobby farmer where he enjoyed raising cattle.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Barbara A. Eastwood. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 24 years, Barbara J. Eastwood; caring children, David (fiancé Kimberly Burns) Eastwood, Christy Eastwood and Julie (Bryan) Ketron; siblings, John Eastwood and Robert Eastwood; grandson, Zachary Eastwood; as well as many other relatives and friends who will mourn his passing and continue to carry on his memory.
A visitation for Earl will take place from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Friday, October 18, 2019 at Piner Baptist Church, 15044 Madison Pike, Morning View, KY 41063. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM at the church. Senior Pastor Bro. Mark Baldauff will officiate. Earl will be laid to rest at Independence Cemetery following the service. Expressions of sympathy in Earl’s name may be made to either Piner Baptist Church (see address above) or the Kenton County Animal Shelter, 1020 Mary Laidley Road, Fort Mitchell, KY 41017.
