Obituary of Albert Thomas Parrock
Albert Thomas “Al” Parrock, of Florence, KY passed away peacefully surrounded by his caring family at his residence on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at the age of 90.
He was born in Covington, KY on May 9, 1929; the son of the late Albert and Lilly Mae Parrock. Al had worked and retired from the Internal Revenue Service as a computer technician. He served as a 50+ year member of Erlanger Baptist Church, was a lifetime member of the Erlanger Lion’s Club and was a devoted member of the American Legion Florence Boone Post 4. In his spare time, Al enjoyed bowling and riding around on his lawnmower cutting his grass.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Joseph James “Jim” Parrock.
Al is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 63 years, Patricia “Patsy” Parrock; caring children, Steve Parrock, Randy Parrock and Melanie Parrock; 3 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; as well as many other relatives and friends who will mourn his passing and continue to cherish his memory.
A visitation for Al will be held from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Highway, Florence, KY 41042. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Pastor Dan Francis will officiate the services. Al will let be laid to rest with full military honors at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Erlanger, KY.
