Obituary of Martha "Gerri" Daniels

     Martha “Gerri” Daniels, age 83, of Walton, KY passed away peacefully on Monday, November 11, 2019 at her home. She was born the daughter of the late George Rogers and Kathern (Romines) Hawkins on April 17, 1936 in Corbin, KY.

     Gerri loved to go shopping, especially for a new pair of shoes. In her earlier years she enjoyed bowling, baking, and sewing clothes for her children. Gerri’s greatest joy was spending time with her family.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Ray Rogers, Earl Rogers, Glenn Rogers, Richard Rogers, Edna Coffey, and Faye Wyatt.

     Gerri is survived by her husband, Bill Daniels; children, Debbie (Bill) Poole, Sherry (Terry) Clifton, and Darrin (Tina) Williams; step children, Rene (Steve) Roland and Darren (Corinne) Daniels; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sisters, Sue Hall and Ann (Ed) Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

     Visitation will take place on Friday, November 15^th, 2019 from 12:00 NOON until time of service at 2:00PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. Burial will follow at Independence Cemetery.
