Obituary of John W. Butler
John W. Butler, age 80, of Florence, KY, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood, KY. He was a retired Purchasing Director for Duro Bag and a member of the Northern KY Sports Hall of Fame. John loved all sports, especially fishing and U.K. basketball.
His parents, Allen W. Butler and Lyda Catherine Brown Butler, and brother, Allen Louis Butler, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife (of 57 years) Sally Baker Butler; children, Brent McKenzie Butler (Meg), Bradley Allen Butler (Rebecca), and Brandee Kalany (Robert); and grandchildren, Joshua Butler, Samantha Kalany, Elizabeth Butler, Kathryn Butler, Abigail Kalany, Sarah Butler, Katelyn Kalany, and Robby Kalany.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at Hopeful Lutheran Cemetery in Florence, KY.
Memorials in lieu of flowers may be sent to the charity of one’s choice.
