William Thomas Jones Obituary

William Thomas Jones Jr., 78, of Burlington, died Saturday at his home.




He was a retired clerk with L&N Railroad, and a member of Mary Queen of Heaven Church in Erlanger, the Monte Carlo Club and the Northern Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame.




He was an Army veteran of World War II.




Survivors include his wife, Marian Jones; daughters, Susan Foster of Florence and Patty Truitt of Union; brothers, Robert Jones of Cincinnati and Thomas Jones of Dry Ridge; sisters, Margie Shipman of Independence and Shirley Cook of Covington; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.




Memorial services will be at 12:10 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Church, Florence. Cremation will be at Northern Kentucky Cremation Service, Walton. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Northern Kentucky, 1403 Alexandria Pike, Fort Thomas, Ky. 41075; or the charity of the donor's choice. Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Florence, is handling arrangements.
