Obituary of Joseph Raymond Schickling, II
Joseph Raymond Schickling, II, age 43, of Independence, KY, passed away Monday, March 2, 2020 at his residence. He was employed by Arlinghaus Builders, was a graduate of Holy Cross High School, and was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Joe was a talented mason and enjoyed pointing out the brick or masonry work he had completed on area homes. He loved sports including baseball, basketball, and golf, but especially enjoyed attending his sons’ games and took pride in giving them instruction.
Joe is survived by his loving wife (of sixteen years), Nicole Kunz Schickling; beloved sons, Jack Joseph Schickling and Cooper Schickling; parents, Joseph Raymond Schickling, Sr. and Denise Gehring Schickling; siblings, Meredith Briede (Steve), Mara Kreiling (Steve), and Lance Schickling (Stephanie); and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 5, 2020 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. The family requests jeans be worn for the visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 3285 Mills Rd., Taylor Mill, KY 41015.
Interment will be at Mother of God Cemetery in Latonia, KY.
