Obituary of James "Jim" Edward Menefee

     James “Jim” Edward Menefee, age 70, of Dry Ridge passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at St Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY. He was born the son of Tilford “Pete” and Hazel (Belew) Menefee on August 26, 1949 in Covington, KY.

     Jim attended Mt Olivet Christian Church and was a strong believer in the Lord. His family admired that he was such a dreamer and respected his drive to start a hobby shop, Hobbies N Such. He worked as an engineer and had an inventor’s mind. He was very technically inclined and could make models of anything. Jim loved to build model trains and airplanes. He will be remembered as a truly generous and selfless person who loved to support his family.

     Jim was preceded in death by his father.

     He is survived by his wife, Pam (Richards) Menefee; children, Stacy (Brian) Schiefer and James (Natalie) Menefee; grandchildren, Devon, Triston, Madison, Aubree, Landon, Hudson, and Stella; great granddaughter, Avery Willow; and siblings, Michael (Lek) Menefee, Dwight “Ike” (Mai) Menefee, Roger (Donna) Menefee, Gary (Linda) Menefee, Regina Menefee, Becky (Mike) McNamee, and Oma (Chris) Acre.

     A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will follow at Gardenersville Cemetery.
