Obituary of Elota "Bootsie" Riley

Elota “Bootsie” Riley, age 93, of Walton, KY passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 22, 2020 at Coldspring Transitional Care. She was born the daughter of the late Arthur and Viola Mae (Brooks) Linton on June 8, 1926 in Walton, KY. Bootsie was known for loving cats, but also making everyone feel welcome. Most people affectionately called her Mammy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Alvin Riley; daughter, Barbara Austin; and several siblings. She is survived by her son, Franklin “Tom” Riley; grandson, TJ Riley and 9 grandchildren; numerous grandchildren; many great grandchildren; siblings, Alice Faye Diehl, Wanda Baker, Arthur Linton, and Bee Linton; many nieces and nephews, adopted relatives, and friends. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
