Obituary of George Gleason

George Jeremiah "Jerry" Gleason, 73, of Panama City, Fla., formerly of Morning View, died Monday at Bay Center Nursing home, Panama City. He was a retired roofer from Gleason Roofing and a member of St. Cecilia Church, Independence. A son, David Gleason, preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Mary Katherine Gleason; sons, Donald Kaiser of Morning View, Jeff Gleason of Crestview, Fla., and Billy Gleason of Panama City, Fla.; daughters, Kathy Bridges and Patty Gleason, both of Panama City, Fla., and Jeannie Grantham of Orlando, Fla.; a brother, Jimmy Gleason of Piner; a sister, Judy Mann of Piner; 19 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Services will be at 8 p.m. Friday at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Visitation will begin there at 6 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in St. Cecilia Cemetery, Independence.
