Obituary of Betty J. Slayback

Betty J. Scott Slayback, age 91, of Walton, KY, passed away Friday, May 29, 2020 at Boonespring Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Union, KY.  “Scottie” was a member of the First Baptist Church in Walton, Kentucky and a paralegal for Rouse and Benson, P.S.C. in Walton, Kentucky before she retired after 20 years.  She enjoyed the outdoors, cross stitching, traveling and spending time with her family.  Her sisters, Marjorie Scott and Juanita Weaver; and brother, Linn Scott, Jr., all preceded her in death.  She is survived by her loving husband (of 65 years) Robert Slayback; daughters, Karen Clem (Nathan) and Denise Clarke (Robert); five grandchildren; and one great grandson.  Betty will be cremated per her wishes with no public services held at this time.  Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Walton is assisting the family.  Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Walton, 47 South Main St., Walton, KY 41094 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105, www.stjude.org.  To leave a condolence for the family please go to www.chambersandgrubbs.com.
