Obituary of Eugene Schadler

     Eugene Schadler, age 93, of Walton, KY passed away peacefully at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood on Sunday June 7, 2020.

     He was born the son of the late Gus and Florence (Elliott) Schadler on December 2, 1926 in Boone County.

     Eugene proudly served his country in the Unites States Army during WWII and a member of the American Legion. He was a retired teamster having driven a truck for Smith Transfer for many years. Eugene was a member of the First Baptist Church of Independence. He will also be remembered for his strong work ethic and his love for farming and family.

    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Schadler Swinford; brothers, Earl Schadler, George Schadler and Marion Schadler; and son-in-law, Gary Swinford.

     He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Geneva (Armstrong) Schadler; children, Bettina “Tina” (Brenda L. Wright) Schadler, Brenda Schadler, Les (Janet) Schadler, and Willie (Betty) Schadler; 12 grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren.

     Visitation will be held on Friday, June 12, 2020 from 11:00AM until time of service at 1:00PM at First Baptist Church, 11691 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. Entombment will follow at Highland Cemetery.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Eugene's name to Frst Baptist Church Missionary Fund at the above address.
