Obituary of Lula Mae Ball
Lula Ball, of Florence, KY passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Cold Spring Transitional Care Center on Friday, July 31, 2020 at the glorious age of 92.
She was born in Newport, KY on January 14, 1928; the daughter of the late Logan and Hazel Turner. Lula was a dedicated homemaker, a loving wife and a sensational mother to her children. In her spare time, she often enjoyed crafting, sewing and taking care of her plants, both indoor and those surrounding her home.
Lula was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Ball Sr. and her daughter, Mary Enzweiler.
Those surviving to carry on Lula’s legacy include her cherished children, Shirley (James) Cunningham, John (Marie) Ball Jr. and David (Phyllis) Ball; grandchildren, Steven (Yvonne) Spence, Rebecca (Scott) Dyer and Jessie (Kevin) Hanks; step-grandsons, Brad Ladanyi and James Seibert; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; as well as many other relatives and friends.
A visitation for Lula will be held from 8:30 AM until 10:30 AM on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Highway, Florence, KY 41042. Due to the current Covid-19 state restrictions we will be limiting our building occupancy to 50% of normal capacity while still enforcing 6 feet of social distancing and requiring the wearing of face masks.
A private funeral service will be held for the family. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Taylor Mill, KY.
