Obituary of Helen Marie Lawson

Helen Marie Sharp Lawson, age 87 of Florence, KY passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood on Monday, August 31, 2020. She was a retired administrative clerk for Square D and a member of Community Family Church. Helen enjoyed doing crafts, crocheting, doing crossword puzzles, collecting glass, and gardening. Her greatest joy though was spending time with her family. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. Her husband of 69 years, Luther Junior Lawson; parents, Josh and Myrtle White Sharp; and her brothers, Jim Sharp, Don Sharp, and John Steely all preceded her in death. Her daughters, Barbara McIntosh (Jim) and Edna Lynn Lawson; brother, Bob Barnhill (Chris); grandsons, Jimmy Scott McIntosh (April) and Jason Shane McIntosh; great grandchildren, Trenton James McIntosh, Ava Madison McIntosh, Cameron Blake McIntosh, and Ryder Cale McIntosh; and many nieces and nephews. A visitation for Helen and her beloved husband, Junior, will be Saturday, September 19, 2020 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon with services immediately following at 12 noon at Community Family Church, 11875 Taylor Mill Rd., Independence, KY 41051. Due to the current Covid-19 state restrictions, the wearing of face masks is mandatory, temperatures will be taken before entrance into the church and attendance will be limited to 50% of the church’s capacity, while still maintaining 6 feet of social distancing. Interment will be at Independence Cemetery.
