Obituary of Howard W. Hamm

     Howard “Bud” Hamm of Walton passed away peacefully at age 92 on Saturday, September 26, 2020 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Bud was born in Covington, KY on September 30, 1927 to the late Marvin and Edith Hamm. Bud retired from Reserve Life Insurance Company as an agent. He was a veteran having proudly served his country in World War II for the United States Airforce. Bud was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church for 34 years and served as a Deacon for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed singing and playing the guitar, both acoustic and electric. His greatest joy of all was being an awesome grandfather. Bud will be remembered by his sense of humor, one-liners, and his love for the American Eagle.

     In addition to his parents, Bud is preceded in death by his brothers, Clarence Hamm and Cecil Hamm; sister, Betty Smith; and grandson, Robert Daniel Smith, Jr.. Survived to mourn his loss is his loving wife of 67 years, Helen Jackie Hamm; daughter, Linda (Rob) Sept; grandchildren, Barry, Freddy, and Justin Yocum; siblings, Roy Hamm and Joann (Greg) Heger; as well as many other friends and family members who will cherish his memory.

     A graveside service will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Taylor Mill, KY. Expressions of sympathy can be made in Bud’s name to a charity of your choice. To share a memory or to leave an online condolence please visit the tabs above.
