Obituary of Bernice Elizabeth Cropper

     Bernice Elizabeth Cropper, of Florence, KY passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence, KY at the glorious age of 93.

     She was born in Lewis County, KY on June 5, 1927 to the late Scott and Annalee Craycraft. Bernice relished her role as a homemaker, providing a loving and nurturing environment for her family. She was a faithful member of Bellevue Christian Church in Bellevue, KY. In her down time, Bernice often enjoyed going camping, riding on boats, quilting and watching television. Her greatest joy, however, came from spending time with her beloved family who she cherished deeply.

     Those who were near to Bernice that preceded her in death include her loving and devoted husband, Roderick Cropper; three sisters, Oleta Thomas, Leona Lanthorn and Clark Stanfield; and two brothers, Glenn Craycraft and Thomas Craycraft.

     Surviving to cherish Bernice’s memory and carry on her legacy include her caring children, Dennis Cropper, Daniel Cropper, Timothy Cropper and Beth Lostutter; grandchildren, Eric Cropper, Amanda Cropper, Jason Cropper, Danielle Abney, Danielle Dryer, Nicholas Radcliffe, Clark Cropper, Natalie Cropper, Gabrielle Sells, Matthew Lostutter and Katelyn Lostutter; 13 great-grandchildren; as well a many other close relatives and friends who are now emptier with her passing.

     A visitation celebrating Bernice’s life will take place from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Highway, Florence, KY 41042.  A funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Bernice will then be laid to rest next to her beloved husband at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 3227 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, KY 41018.

     Due to the current Covid-19 state mandates, occupancy will be limited to 50% of normal capacity while still enforcing 6 feet of social distancing and requiring the wearing of face masks.

     In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be directed in Bernice’s name to the American Heart Association, 5211 Madison Road, Cincinnati, OH 45227.
