Obituary of Billie Glenn Henson

     Billie Glenn Henson of Florence, age 77, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Florence, KY. Billie was born in French Camp, Mississippi on December 7, 1942 to the late William and Nancy Henson. Billie retired from working as a right of way agent in real estate and was also a Deacon at Florence Baptist Church for many years. In his younger years, Billie enjoyed playing tennis and golf. As he grew older, he enjoyed spending most of his time with his beloved grandchildren.

     In addition to his parents, Billie is preceded in death by his wife, Sue Henson; and sisters, Shirley McGaugh and Sarah McCoy. Survived to mourn his loss are his loving children, Susan (Kevin) Selzer, Pamela A. Henson, and Glenn Henson; grandchildren, Drew Semke, Cassie (Keith) Smith, Christopher Henson, Samantha Henson, Sarah Henson, Cooper Henson, Jocelyn Selzer, and Declan Selzer; great-grandchild, William Smith; and many other friends and family members who will cherish his memory.

     Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. Billie will be laid to rest next to his loving wife at Union Rice Cemetery in Union, KY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Billie’s name to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org/en/get-involved/ways-to-give.
