Rev. Willie Parks, of Walton, KY passed into the loving arms of the Lord on November 28, 2020 at the glorious age of 87. He was born on November 10, 1933 in Goldsboro, NC; the son of the late Leslie and Mary Parks. Willie was the former pastor of First Baptist Church in Burlington, KY and had been attending Community Family Church in Independence, KY. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and enjoyed spending time with his family. Preceding him in death are his parents, sister, and three brothers.  During his early years, he married Delores Wingo, and this union was dissolved by death in 2003. Those survivors who are left to carry on Willie’s legacy include his loving wife of 14 years, Barbara Ann Palmer Parks; daughter, Neeka Lynn Parks-Koven (John); grandchildren, Nuri Thompson and Nigel Thompson; step-children Simone Taylor and Andre Porter; five step-grandchildren; sisters, Jo Ann Parks and Lois Parks; his favorite niece, Janice Bishop; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and many other close relatives and friends. Due to the Covid-19 mandates, private services for Willie will be held at the convenience of the family. He will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 3227 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, KY 41018.
