Obituary of Ronnie Sester
Ronnie Sester of Independence, age 75, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at his home while surrounded by his loving family.
Ronnie was born in Clay County, KY and retired from A&P Technologies as a machine operator. Ronnie enjoyed spending his time outdoors and riding 4-wheelers. He was a hardworking, family man who never gave anything but his absolute best. He was always an overachiever and very driven in everything he did. Ronnie loved celebrating and decorating for the holidays, but most of all he enjoyed spending his time with his beloved family.
Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents, Joe (Bertie) Sester and Bertie (Dale) Taylor. Survived to mourn his loss is his loving wife of 39 years, Lena Sester; children, Angie (Joe) Howe, Lonnie (Tracy) Richardson, Tabby Sester, and Tiffany (David Lee) Sester; special niece, Loretta Hall; siblings, Marie Allen, Poochie Davidson, Randy Taylor, Connie Walton, Patti Smith, Dave Sester, Steve Sester, Leisa Belcher, Sandy Starnes, and Tony Sester; grandchildren, Mandy, Allyssa, Joey, Katelyn, and Sarah; great-grandchildren, Natalie and McKenzie; several nieces and nephews; many friends and co-workers; and a number of others who will forever cherish his memory.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until time of service 7:00PM on Monday, December 14, 2020 at Hebron Church of Christ, 2966 Damascus Rd. Hebron, KY 41048. The funeral service will begin at 7:00 PM. Ronnie will be laid to rest at Clay Thomas Family Cemetery in Jackson, KY on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at 2:00 PM. Due to the current Covid-19 state restrictions, occupancy will be limited to 50% of normal capacity while still enforcing 6 feet of social distancing and requiring the wearing of face masks. Memorial donations can be made in Ronnie's name to Hebron Church of Christ 2966 Damascus Rd. Hebron, Kentucky 41048.
