Obituary of Nancy Ellen Anderson Ballinger

Nancy Ellen Anderson Ballinger, age 85, of Independence, KY, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood, KY.  She was retired from the I.R.S., where she worked in Public Relations for over 30 years.  Nancy was a member of Independence Christian Church, the Kenton County Homemakers, and the Independence Senior Center.  Over the years, she volunteered for Meals on Wheels and Action Ministries.  She was very artistic and enjoyed painting, quilting, making crafts, and cooking to distribute to those in need.  Her love for the U.K. Wildcats and Cincinnati Bengals was only exceeded by her love for her beloved family.  Her husband, William Ballinger and brother, Lance Miller preceded her in death.  She is survived by her sons, Rusty Ballinger (Beckie) and Ray Ballinger (Michelle); siblings, Brian Miller and Lynn Dillion (Todd); grandchildren, Mike Ballinger (Allison), Quinn Ballinger (Stephanie), and Tess Ballinger; great grandchildren, Whitney Ballinger, Miles Ballinger, Blakelynne Ballinger, Asher Ballinger, Lydia Ballinger, and Journee Ballinger.  Due to the current Covid restrictions by the governor’s office, a graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Independence Cemetery, 5358 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051.  Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home will be assisting the family.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Milestones, 12372 Riggs Rd., Independence, KY 41051 or the American Heart Association, 5211 Madison Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45227.  For directions or leave Nancy’s family a message of condolence, please go to www.chambersandgrubbs.com.
