Obituary of Charles Adam Ritter
Charles “Chuck” Adam Ritter, of Covington, KY passed away peacefully at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY on Friday, December 18, 2020 at the age of 68.
He was born in Covington, KY on July 26, 1952, the son of the late Richard and Loretta Ritter. Chuck was dedicated father, hard worker and loved spending time with family. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting deer and fishing. Chuck was quick to lend a listening ear and had an uncanny knack for understanding people. Through his life, he volunteered for Boy Scouts of America and loved watching his son and grandchildren play sports.
Those left surviving to carry on Chuck’s legacy include his son, Chris Ritter (Naashom Marx); daughter, Amy Jean DeSear (Seth DeSear); grandchildren, Carter Ritter, Kyle Ritter, Colin Ritter, Hali Brooks, Cody DeSear and Courtney DeSear; great-grandchildren, Brycen Brooks, Raelynn Brooks and Adilynn Brink; siblings, Richard Ritter (Harriet Ritter), Cindy Ritter Allgeyer (Joe Allgeyer), Paul Ritter, Cathy Hays (Bud Hays), Ruth Ritter Garnett, Theresa Ritter McCann (Mack McCann) and Joan Ritter Cain (Bob Cain); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other close relatives and friends.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude and thanks to St. Elizabeth Hospital for the care and support they provided Chuck and his family with over the past two months. A graveside service honoring Chuck’s life will take place on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Independence Cemetery, 5358 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. The family asks that you are mindful of all COVID-19 precautions as we will enforce 6 feet of social distancing as well as require all in attendance to wear a mask or face covering.
