Obituary of Mary Barbara Romes Hardin

Please share a memory of Mary to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Barbara Mary Hardin (née Romes) passed away in the care of St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY surrounded by loved ones on December 21, 2020 at the glorious age of 88.

She was born in Covington, KY on August 30, 1932; the daughter of the late Roy and Norma Romes. Barbara was retired from a career in hospitality, having worked on staff at the Drawbridge Inn for many years as a hostess.

In her spare time, she often enjoyed fishing and getting away to Florida to the beach. Her greatest joy, however, came from spending time with her beloved family, whom she cherished dearly.

Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband, Frank E. Russo, husband James Hardin, her daughter Susan Klein; and brothers Roy Romes, Jr. and Fred Romes.

Those left surviving to carry on Barbara’s legacy and light include her children, Mark Russo (Vicki), Karin Radice (Peter), James Russo (Cheryl), David Russo (Becky), and Jeff Russo (Rebecca); 21 grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and many other close relatives and friends.
