Obituary of John H. Kloeker
John H. “Mouse” Kloeker of Cape Coral, Florida, formerly of Independence, Kentucky, died on December 19, 2020. He was born on January 13, 1936 to the late William J. Kloeker and Josephine Kloeker (née Hellmann) in Cincinnati, Ohio. He leaves his wife of 60 years JoAnn M. Kloeker (née Bracke) and three sons, Joseph W. (Darlene), Jude T. (Dianna), Ret. LTC John V. (Natasha) and one daughter Angela L. Feldman (Gregory), and twelve grand-children, Heather Kloeker-Webster, Joseph “Will” Kloeker, Amber Mains, Megan Egbers, Nicole Clark, SFC Joel Kloeker, SPC John “Ben” Kloeker, Jared Kloeker, Jordan Kloeker, Jihyun Kwon, Viktoria Kloeker, and Alexander Feldman, and four great-grandchildren; Hailey Kloeker, Charlotte Kloeker, Jackson Egbers, and Olivia Webster.Mouse also leaves a sister Natalie “Pudgie” Gosney and sister-in-law Dorothy “Dot” Kloeker and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, William (Bill), Paul Carroll, Cyril “Smokey”, Mark ”Corkey”, Matthew “Red”, Rev Jude Kloeker, and sisters, Mary Lizette Kloeker, Rosemary Dearwester, Mirella Fulmer, and Mary Jo Kiely.
Mouse was an Army Veteran and member of the Southwestern Fl. Korean War Veterans Chapter 155. He was also a member of Post 90 of the American Legion in Cape Coral; and a life member of Post 8463 of the VFW in Cape Coral.
John was also a life member of the Knights of Columbus Council #702 Bishop Carroll Council in Covington, Kentucky and Fourth Degree member of Bishop Flaget Assembly in Erlanger, Kentucky.
After being a snowbird for nine years, the Kloeker’s lived full time in Cape Coral for fourteen years; the last three at the Gulf Coast Village.
The family will receive friends Wednesday December 23, 2020 from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM at Fuller Metz Cremation and Funeral Services, 3740 Del Prado Boulevard South, Cape Coral, Florida 33904. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday December 23, 2020 at 11:00 AM at St. Andrews Catholic Church, 2628 Del Prado Boulevard South, Cape Coral, FL 33904. A second visitation will be held Monday, December 28, 2020 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. Interment with military honors will follow at St. Cecilia Cemetery 5313 Madison Pike, Independence, Kentucky 41051. Fuller Metz in Cape Coral, Florida and Chamber and Grubbs in Independence, Kentucky will be assisting the family. Due to Covid-19 state restrictions, occupancy will be limited to 50% while still enforcing 6 feet of social distancing and requiring the wearing of face masks.
