Obituary of Beatrice Irene Evans

Beatrice Irene Evans of Florence, age 79, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at the Madonna Manor in Villa Hills, KY. She was born in Patterson, New Jersey to the late Edward and Beatrice Hamman on February 5, 1941. Bea retired as a teacher’s aide for the Boone County School District. She was also a member of Florence United Methodist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed taking her dog for walks, sewing, and volunteering any where she could.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, George David Evans, Sr. and her daughter, Joanne Evans. Survived to mourn her loss are her children, Deborah (Matthew) Elliott, Elizabeth (Jeff) VanBuskirk, Barbara (Keith) Ivey, and George (Pam) David Evans, Jr.; siblings, Mary Macy and John Hamman; 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and many other friends and family members who will cherish her memory.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Florence United Methodist Church, 8585 Old Toll Rd, Florence, KY 41042. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM at the church. Bea will be laid to rest next to her husband at Independence Cemetery. Due to the current Covid restrictions, face masks must be worn, social distancing is encouraged, and 50% capacity will be limited in the church. Memorial donations can be made in Bea’s name to Florence United Methodist Church or to the Alzheimer’s Association, (https://www.alz.org/get-involved-now/donate).
