Obituary of Eva Wood Nostheide
Eva Wood Nostheide passed away peacefully on December 31, 2020 at Rosedale Green Nursing Home at the glorious age of 102. She was born in Mt. Olivet, KY on October 20, 1918 to the late Charles Miller and Margret McConnell.
Eva worked as a secretary for the architects at Hixson-Tarter in her earlier years. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her loving family.
Preceding Eva in death was her loving husband, Norbert C. Nostheide; two sisters, Agnes Hensley and Doris Hall and three brothers, Charles Miller, Pete Miller and Bill Miller. Those surviving to carry on Eva’s legacy include her step-daughter, Helen Nostheide; nephew, Gary (Nancy) Jett; as well as many other close relatives and friends.
A visitation celebrating Eva’s wonderful 102 years on this Earth will take place from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Friday, January 8, 2021 at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Highway, Florence, Ky 41042. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Eva will then be reunited with her husband and laid to rest at Arlington Cemetery, 2145 Compton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231. Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, face masks are required, social distancing is encouraged, and 50% capacity will be limited at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be made in Eva’s name to the First Church of Christ, 6080 Camp Ernst Road, Burlington, KY 41005.
