Obituary of Mary K. Redman
Mary K. Redman of Erlanger, age 81, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at her home. Kay was born on December 19, 1939 in Grant County, KY to the late William and Nancy Thompson. She retired from D.A.V. after working in Human Resources for 20 years. Kay was a beautiful, free-spirited woman who enjoyed many things in life. Some of those included playing cards- especially poker, doing puzzles, painting, and gardening. Most of all, Kay had a true passion for traveling with her late husband, shopping for what ever she wanted, and cooking delicious meals for her beloved family. Kay brought smiles to many faces and will be missed beyond measure.
In addition to her parents, Kay is preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Elmer David Redman; siblings, Ada Boyers, Peggy Ward, Betty Sue Thompson, Joyce Thompson, William Thompson, and Clifford Thompson; and her 2 grandsons. Survived to mourn her loss are her loving children, Sharon (Steve) Girdler, Kelly Feinauer, Lance (Andrea) Anderson; 6 step-children; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and many other friends and relatives who will cherish her memory.
A visitation celebrating Mary’s life will be held on Monday, January 11, 2021 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike Independence, KY 41051. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, face masks are required, social distancing is encouraged, and 50% capacity will be limited at the funeral home. Following the service, Kay will be laid to rest next to her husband at Independence Cemetery. Memorial donations in Kay’s name can be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive Tampa, FL 33607.
