Obituary of Ronnie Aylor

Ronnie J. Aylor, age 79, of Chillicothe, OH (formerly of Boone County, KY), passed away Monday, January 11, 2021 at Dublin Methodist Hospital in Dublin, OH.  He was a Truck Driver for Active U.S.A. for over 26 years and a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Chillicothe, OH. Ronnie enjoyed working and had previously had his own trucking company, Bluegrass Transport, and worked in excavation.  He also loved anything outdoors including hunting, traveling and just being in nature.  An informal student of history and geography, he was a walking encyclopedia of roadways, landmarks, state capitals, former presidents, etc… and would often share his knowledge with his grandchildren.  Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially their excursions together.  His parents, Joseph & Francis Mae Aylor preceded him in death.  He is survived by his loving wife (of 27 years), Betty Bishop Aylor; daughter, Rhonda Vasseur; and grandchildren, Zachary Vasseur and Courtney Vasseur Koch (David).  A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 341 Clinton Rd., Chillicothe, OH 45601.  The committal service will be held at 3:30 p.m. at Big Bone Baptist Church, 11036 Big Bone Church Rd., Union, KY 41091.  Interment will be at Big Bone Baptist Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the Lighthouse Baptist Church.  For directions, to view the Life Tribute Video, or to leave the family a message of condolence, please go to www.chambersandgrubbs.com.
