Obituary of "Bear" Cole

Barry “Bear” Britton Cole, age 56, of Independence, KY passed away peacefully on Friday, January 8, 2021 at Villaspring Care Center in Erlanger, KY.  He was a former Motor Assistance Coordinator for Northern Kentucky University.  Bear was very patriotic and had been active in U.S. Veteran causes and also enjoyed hunting over the years.  His wife, Shannon Bush Cole; and parents, Ledford and Genopal Britton Cole preceded him in death.  Survivors include his brother, Todd Cole; nephews, Matt Cole and Mark Cole; niece, Morgan Zimmerman; and loving family member, Katlynn Specht.  Graveside services will be held Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Doolin-Tuggle Cemetery in Heidrick, KY.  Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence, KY is assisting the family.  Memorials may be made to Life Center, 615 Elsinore Place, #400, Cincinnati, OH 45202.  To leave a message or condolence for the family, please go to www.chambersandgrubbs.com.  Bear’s final wish to others was “Do not mourn for me as I am now reunited with my true love for eternity.”
