Obituary of "Buck" Reimer
Charles Joseph “Buck” Reimer, age 79, of Independence, KY, passed away Monday, January 18, 2021, at his residence. He was a retired police Officer, a former Assistant Chief for the Kenton County Police, and a member of the Kenton County Fraternal Order of Police. Buck enjoyed traveling, hiking, mowing the yard, bike riding, and spending time with his family (especially his grandkids). He is survived by his wife, Geneva Beck Reimer; children, Michele “Missy” Kelley (John), Deneen Wolsing (Todd), Lisa Reimer Duncan, Charles “Chuck” Reimer (Carlee), and Jennifer Hayes (Jim); step-son, Anthony Dietrich (Vickie); brother, Gary Reimer (Debbie); grandchildren, Ryan Kelley (Hannah), Lauren Kelley, Tyler Kelley (Emily), Mykaela Wolsing, Alex Wolsing, Matthew Duncan, Kyle Duncan, Evan Duncan, Stacee Price (Stacey), Tommy Reimer, Bailee Reimer, Conner Hayes (Makoura), Emily Hayes, Ashley Hayes, and Sean Hayes, Sidney Dietrich, Tony Dietrich, Daniel Dietrich, and Anna Dietrich; and great-grandchildren, Kylee Donaldson, Maeve Kelley, Jackson Price, and Kahlani Hayes. A gathering of friends will be held Saturday, January 23, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a memorial service beginning at 6 p.m. at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. The service will be live streamed via Facebook. Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, face masks are required, social distancing is encouraged, and 50% capacity will be limited at the funeral home. Interment will be held at a later date at Kentucky Veteran’s Cemetery in Williamstown, KY. Memorials may be made to St. Elizabeth Hospice Center, 483 South Loop Rd., Edgewood, KY 41017.
