Obituary of Betty Z. Burris

Betty Z. Burris, age 91, of Covington, KY, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021 at River Valley Nursing Home, Butler, KY.  She was a retired Nurse’s Aid for St. Charles Nursing Home in Covington, KY and a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church.  Her husband, James Burris and son, James Paul Burris preceded her in death.  She is survived by her daughters, Roberta Buchman, Charlotte Tye, and Debbie Burden (Tony); grandchildren, Jeffrey Tye, Craig Burris (Tiffany), Alicia Davidson (Matthew), Jessica Brefeld (Kyle), Michael Tye, Jasmine Ulm, and Wesley Ulm; great grandchildren, Mason, Tatum, Carter, Macy, Alexis, Ares, Cole, Atticus, Maxton, Tenley, Jarvis, and Jaxon.  Visitation will be Sunday, January 24, 2021 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. with a funeral service immediately following at 4 p.m. at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051.  Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, face masks are required, social distancing is encouraged, and 50% capacity will be limited at the funeral home.  The committal service will be Monday, January 25, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. at Floral Hills Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Oak Ridge Baptist Church.  For directions, to view her Life Tribute video, or to leave a message or condolence for the family, please go to www.chambersandgrubbs.com.
