Obituary of Howard Edward Walker
Howard Edward Walker, of Independence, KY passed away from natural causes on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at the age of 77.
He was born in Covington, KY on June 4, 1943. Howard was a proud 33 year veteran of the United States Army, having fought in Vietnam and achieved the rank of SGM. In his spare time, Howard often enjoyed listening to varies genres and types of music as well as spending time with his family, pets and friends.
Preceding Howard in death were his brother, Vernon Walker and his sister, Wavelon Ryals.
Those left surviving to carry on Howard’s legacy include his loving wife of 45 years, Mary Ann Walker; son, Tim Walker; daughter, Teresa Walker; siblings, John (Marcia) Walker, Richard (Malinda) Walker, Shirley (Michael) Hall, Linda (Allen) Oliver, Charles “Burger” (Cindy) Walker and Glenda (Danny) Harlow; grandsons, Jaycob Seacrest and Jonathan Brooks; as well as many other close relatives and friends.
A visitation celebrating Howard’s life will take place from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Highway, Florence, KY 41042. Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, face masks are required, social distancing is encouraged, and 50% capacity will be limited at the funeral home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Howard will then be laid to rest with full military honors at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North, 205 Eibeck Lane, Williamstown, KY 41097.
