Obituary of Nancy Lee O'Banion

Nancy Lee Powell O'Banion, 73, of Independence, died Friday at her home. She was a homemaker and seamstress. Her husband, Herschel O'Banion, died in 1979. A daughter, Billie Greene, died in 2004. Survivors include sons, Robert O'Banion of Morning View, Herschel O'Banion and Joan O'Banion, both of Cincinnati; daughters, Diann Dietrich of Morning View, Betty O'Banion and Mischelle Hall, both of Independence, Kelly Collins of Covington and Colleen Kuderer of Taylor Mill; brothers, Jack Powell of Rising Sun, Ind., Charlie Powell of Ann Arbor, Mich., Joseph Powell of Cincinnati and Carl Powell of Colorado Springs, Colo.; sisters, Rosalie Wagner of Aurora, Ind., and Shirley Woodruff of Maine; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
