It is with heavy hearts; that we join all of you in celebration of the life of Norm on this day. He was(is) a beloved brother of Bill , brother-in-law of JoAnne, uncle of our children; Todd and Jenny .
Bill shares the unique facial imprint of a missing tooth (front and center) with Norm, stemming from some teenage shenanigans! The story goes that it had to do with pellet guns and missed targets !Growing up, Norm had the reputation of the defender of anyone who was targeted by bullies. This had the result of many lively discussions between the school principals (especially high school) and his mom. The three brothers spent many hours at John and Bill's Machine Shop ;building weight lifting bars, benches, power racks and safety supplies to support Norm's weight lifting career. Their love for each other and their sister Diane was evident to anyone who knew them. For our family; the most endearing memory was the time that Norm provided Band-Aids to Jenny and Todd to place on the hood of his car after he spun out of control in a race that they had witnessed. Any worries they had were erased by that touching gesture . The first time that Todd and Jenny saw their uncle perform clogging on stage mesmerized them and resulted with the comment "Uncle Norm can dance?!! Jenny was very proud when he dedicated one of his dances to her. Jenny's love of country music came from her uncle and continues to this day. Todd was introduced to Sandvik tooling by Norm. They had a shared respect for the company that Norm retired from and Todd follows in his footsteps to the present day. Todd speaks of his uncle in this way "He has always been an inspiration to me. There was nothing that he couldn't do. He just made a plan and he did it!" We know how much Norm loved Sherry and the family he always wanted became a reality in their union together. We are forever grateful to them and their Kentucky friends who could be with him at the end of his final journey when we were unable to do so. Rest and peace Norm. We find comfort that you and mom are now together!

Uncle Norm you are going to be missed dearly,

You will remain in our heart forever!

I had the privilege and the challenge of following Norm as the OEM Specialist and Strategic Account Manager for Mazak, Market area Americas as he was beginning his retirement. And I can assure you that what Norm lacked in stature he more than made up for in tenacity. Norm was intense and yet kind, rough while yet sensitive, he was passionate, a gentleman, mentor, teacher, and a fine example to all. Norm never quit nor did he settle for second place. In the few short years I've known Norm, he made me a better person and I hope I can have the same effect on those following me.
We bury this Norm's distinctive voice, but his words can still be heard. His hard working hands to now rest, but not his works. Norm didn't just leave behind memories but he left behind a legacy.
My thoughts and prayers are with Sherry and all of the family and friends. May God give you peace and strength thru this difficult time. No doubt there will be a great void from this great loss, but the Norm we all know and love would challenge us to pick up the pieces and carry on and be the best we can be!
Dave and I wish to express our deepest condolences to the entire family.
Norm the world is a less special place without you brother.
I will grieve for you and feel your loss deeply,
but it won’t stop me from remembering and cherishing
the countless memories I have of you.
Your loving Sister Dianne
My deepest condolence on the loss of a great man.
I only had the opportunity to work with Norm and get to know him for a short time before he retired but he made a huge impact on my career in that short period. He taught me so many invaluable things about tooling, applications, and how to make a mark with the customer. He always lit up when he spoke of his family and grandchildren and truly enjoyed all the things life had to offer. I am sadden to hear of his passing. I and everyone who had the opportunity to know him will miss him dearly. Rest In Peace Norm. - Anja Redzepagic
