Obituary of Joyce Ann Bethke

     Joyce Ann Bethke, of Walton, KY passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at the age of 76.

     She was born in Springport, MI on January 31, 1945; the daughter of the late Julius and Mary Schmidt. Joyce worked for many years as a server at Family’s Restaurant in Walton, getting to work day in and day out with her boss and best friend, Sheila Dees.

     Preceding her in death was her father, Julius Schmidt; her mother, Mary Duncan and her brother, Harold Schmidt.

     Those left surviving to carry on Joyce’s legacy include her daughters, Carrie Loyer, Laura Jo Cain and Tonia (Brian) Young; siblings, John Schmidt, Wesley Schmidt, Altha Cole and Arlene McIntyre; grandchildren, Brian Young, Jr., Chelsea Young, Jacob Young, Cade Young, Jared Loyer, Brittany Loyer, Christopher Browand, Brandon Browand and Justin Browand; 9 great-grandchildren; as well as many other close relatives and friends.

     In keeping with Joyce’s wishes, she will be cremated and taken back to her home state of Michigan.
