     LaVerne Helen Huneycutt, age 93, of Morning View passed away on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at her home. She was born the daughter of the late James Klein and Effie (Neuspickel) Klein on December 29, 1927.

     LaVerne was a hard working woman who could always be found working and being busy on the farm. She was a dedicated farmer’s wife. She liked to work in her flower beds and in the garden. LaVerne also liked cooking, canning, and feeding the birds. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother to her many children and grandchildren.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Daniel Huneycutt and son, Dan Huneycutt.

     LaVerne is survived by her children, Dinah Burkey, Karan Huneycutt, Lynn Hale, and David Huneycutt; grandchildren, Christina Breeden, Nathan Huneycutt, Annie Burkey, Candance Brunyate, and Skye Huneycutt; 15 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

     A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at 11:00am at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, face masks are required, social distancing is encouraged, and 60% capacity will be limited at the funeral home.
