Obituary of Irene Ruth Putty

     Irene Ruth Putty, age 87, of Walton, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 28, 2021. Irene was born the daughter of the late Willard and Irene (Demangeat) Nachtman on October 18, 1933 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

     Irene’s greatest joy in life were her children and grandchildren. She loved spending time with her grandkids and always had an open door to any of her family. She always let you know what she was thinking. Irene loved birdhouses, taking pictures, and scrapbooking. She also loved to eat sweets, especially coconut crème pie and cheesecake.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Helen “Bootsie”.

     Irene is survived by her daughters, Marcille Plank, Cheryl Robinson, and Lori Rae Foley; 12 grandchildren, Marcie, Jason, Brian, Nina, Dana, Sheena, Tyler, Brandon, Travis, Brianna, Danae, and Nicole; 18 great grandchildren; and her brothers, Richard Nachtman and Ronald Gene Nachtman.

     A gathering of friends will be held on Friday June 4, 2021 from 4:00PM until time of memorial service at 6:00PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, face masks are required, social distancing is encouraged and 75 % capacity will be limited at the funeral home.
