Obituary of Phyllis Jean Ransdell

Phyllis Jean Ransdell, of Florence, KY passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at Boone Spring Care Facility on Friday, June 4, 2021 at the great age of 80.  She was born in Erlanger, KY on January 2, 1941; the daughter of the late William and Gladys Kyler Ransdell.  In her younger years, Phyllis was employed by the Drees Co. as a receptionist. She was a longtime member of Union Baptist Church, and her passion was for cooking.  Phyllis was a phenomenal baker and cook.  Every dish she made was homemade, from scratch, and always a little bit of love thrown in every recipe.  She made some of the best turkey and dressing and iced brownies in the area.  Phyllis enjoyed reading cookbooks and taking trips to Gatlinburg, TN with her sister and family.  However, Phyllis took great pride in loving and always sharing her great meals with her nephews and the rest of her family who she adored. 

     Preceding Phyllis in death are her parents and one brother, William Ransdell, Jr.  Those left surviving to carry on Phyllis’s legacy include her sister, Betty Jones; nephews, Mark Jones and Keith (Lynda) Jones; great nephew Travis (Julie) Jones; great nieces, Carly Jones and Taylor Jones; one great great-nephew, Noah Jones, as well as many other friends and relatives.
