My heart aches for all who love Aunt Lucy. She will be greatly missed by all.
I remember how my father, Alan, Lucille's brother-in-law, when he was alive held a close and beautiful bond with Lucy.
With their unique brother-in-law and sister-in-law relationship they looked out for each other, respected and supported each other through out their life time.
As a child, I remember visiting Aunt Lucy for play time with Lucille's daughter and my cute little cousin, Susan. I was a young elementary age child and Susan was preschool age, but I remember so vividly how patience and kind she was with Susan and me.
This may sound silly but, I loved listening to Lucille talk. She had a unique and lovely tone in her voice when she talked.
Listening to her accent, you would never have guessed that she was from Kentucky because it sounded nothing like the usual Northern Kentucky accent. I can still hear her voice in my memory.
It's sweet and loving memories like these that will always keep Aunt Lucille in our hearts and memories forever.
I wish you strength and peace during this difficult time.
Much love, Carolyn.
