Obituary of Benjamin "Ben" Marshall Wayne Weems

     Benjamin “Ben” Marshall Wayne Weems of Walton gained his wings on June 30, 2021, at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. He was born in Edgewood, KY on December 5, 2018. Ben was a big fan of Toy Story, dinosaurs, and trucks. He enjoyed climbing, playing in the dirt, and being outside but most of all, Ben loved to spend time playing with his older sisters. Although we are heartbroken of Ben’s passing, we find peace in knowing that he was able to donate vital organs to save the lives of others. While his time on earth may have been brief, Ben made a lifetime impression on our hearts. He was a son, brother, grandson, and nephew who will be missed beyond measure.

     Ben is survived by his loving parents, Chad and Angie Weems; sisters, Payslei and Eleanor Weems; grandparents, Ernestine (Ronnie Howard) Weems, and Marshall and Shelby Robinette; great-grandparents, Ada Shouse and John Weems; aunts and uncles,  Harley Weems, Monica (Nick) Hurley, Travis (Mikala) Howard, and Andrew (Jessica) Howard; beloved cousins, Jayce, Kenadie, and Layton; special friends, Brad and Andrea Lowe and their son, Bodie; as well as several of Chad and Angie’s friends; and a host of additional cousins and family members who will forever cherish his memory.

     He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Freddy Weems.

     A visitation for Ben will be held on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 45 N. Main St., Walton, KY 41094. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. A private burial will be held for immediate family members.
