Obituary of Nora Jones

     Nora Jones of Walton, age 83, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood, KY. She was born on May 22, 1938, in Lost Creek, KY to the late Kate and Willie Bush, Sr. Nora retired after years of working as a Certified Medical Assistant and was a member of the Church of God. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, cooking, and traveling to the beach or the mountains. She also enjoyed using technology and was rather tech-savy. Most of all, Nora loved being a grandma and spoiling her grandkids who will miss her tremendously. Nora was a mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother who will be remembered as strong-willed, independent, and fiercely loyal to her family.

     In addition to her parents, Nora is preceded in death by her husband, Sam Jones, Jr. and her sisters, Shirley Gross and Phyllis Couch. Survived to mourn her loss are her loving children, Wade (Debbie) Jones, Ron (Judy) Jones, Sam (Shirley) Jones, Ken (Holly) Jones, and Katie Jones; brothers, Dillo Bush, Willie Bush, Jr., and Ron Bush; 16 beloved grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews who will forever cherish her memory.

     A gathering of friends will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2021, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Highway, Florence, KY, 41042. The memorial service will begin at 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
