Obituary of Chuck Grizzell
Charles “Chuck” Dewayne Grizzell, age 62, of Morning View, KY, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY. Chuck’s two passions were serving as a fireman and drag racing. He was the retired Fire Chief of the Kenton Fire Department, where he selflessly served his community for over 30 + years. When he wasn’t at the fire department, you could often find him working on his cars at home or Johnny’s garage, going to car shows, attending swap meets or racing at Thornhill Race Track on the weekends. His parents, Charles A. & Eula Mae Grizzell, and step-daughter, Monica Henderson, all preceded him in death. He is survived by, Julie Longo Grizzell; daughter, Molly Grant and husband, Tyler; step-daughter, Alana Conley; sisters, Donna Stewart and Joyce Simpson; and several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held Thursday, July 29, 2021 from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with a Firemen’s Prayer Service beginning at 7:30 p.m. at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. Interment will be Friday, July 30, 2021 at 9 a.m. at Independence Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, www.diabetes.org.
