Obituary of Richard Alan McDannold

     Richard Alan “Rick” McDannold, of Morning View, KY passed away at his residence on Monday, August 2, 2021 at the age of 55.

     He was born in Covington, KY on August 27, 1965, the son of Richard and Edna McDannold. Rick had recently just retired from years of service as a mechanical engineer at SD-1. In his spare time, he often enjoyed fishing and playing guitar. His greatest joy, however, came from spending time with his family, especially his daughters.

     Preceding Rick in death was his sister, Dawn McDannold.

     Those left surviving Rick to carry on his memory include his wife of 28 years, Katherine “Kathy” McDannold; daughters, Katlyn McDannold and Madelyn McDannold; brother, Greg (Jan) McDannold; half-brothers, Brian Grissom, Eric (Susan) Maltaner and Jordan Maltaner; as well as many other relatives and friends who are now emptier upon his sudden passing.

     A Gathering of Friends celebrating Rick’s life will take place from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday, August 6, 2021 at Kenton Baptist Church, 14071 Decoursey Pike, Morning View, KY 41063.

     In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Rick’s name may be made to the family.
