Doris E. Carnes Carroll, 89 of Union, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Gallatin Health Care Center in Warsaw. She retired from for Economy Meat Market in Florence; she was a member of the Eastern Star and enjoyed reading. She is preceded in death by her husband Bob Carroll in 1999, sister Ruby Beck and brothers Sanford, Shirley and Buddy Carnes. Survived by her son, Harry (Ida)Sparrow, step-daughter Lee (Mike)Donlin, 4 step-sons Rob (Tina) Carroll and Doug Carroll, grandsons Kelly Sparrow, Kirk (Cindy) Sparrow, Mike (Tina) Donlin and Matt (Robin) Donlin, 7 great-grandchildren, Steven Sparrow, Tasha (Mike) Dumas, Katie (Tim) Grogan, Beth and Ally Sparrow, Robin and Danielle Carroll, 2 great-great-granddaughters, Macey Sparrow and Reece Donlin, sister, Cleo McKnight of Kenton Hills, brother Harry (Dottie) Carnes of Edgewood and many nieces and nephews. Services will be at Chambers & Grubbs Florence. Visitation will be Wednesday 12/14/11 from 10 am.-12 pm. Funeral service will be at noon. Burial will be in Wilmington Cemetery. Memorial donations requested to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
