Obituary of Aileen N. Monroe

     Aileen N. Monroe, age 86, of Independence, KY passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.

     Aileen was born the daughter of the late Paulus and Mary Lou Bryant in Williamsburg, KY on February 16, 1935.

     Aileen was a strong Christian woman who was a member of Community Family Church. She was an amazing mother to all 9 of her children. She worked hard inside her home as well as outside, working on all three farms that the family owned. She loved to sew, she especially liked to make quilts. Aileen was a wonderful cook and baker. Her absolute greatest joy was spending time with her children and many grandchildren.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth Rose; second husband, Harvey Monroe; son, James Rose; daughter, Theresa Tucker; grandson, Stephen Carnes; and great grandchild, Baby Epperson.

     Aileen is survived by her children, Betty Carnes (Michael Joe), Rena Epperson (Dallas), Elvis Rose, Kim A. Rose, Donald Rose (Pamela), Kenneth J. Rose (Kimberly), and Vicki Conyers (Eugene); 20 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; and 8 great-great grandchildren; and siblings, Katie Rose and Bill Bryant.

     Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from 10:00AM until time of service at 12:00noon at Community Family Church, 11875 Taylor Mill Rd, Independence, KY 41051. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Dry Ridge, KY
